What is the difference between CAT A and CAT B?

CAT A is the landlord's base finish: raised floor, suspended ceiling, basic lighting, primary services distribution and, usually, finished common areas. CAT B is everything that makes the space belong to the occupier: layout, partitions, meeting rooms, joinery, branding, furniture and services modification.

Can Método work in an occupied office?

Yes. Occupied refurbishment is planned around the operating business: phased zones, protected routes, out-of-hours work for noise and services isolation, and a weekly plan the occupier's facilities team agrees before it starts.

Do you provide the furniture as well as the fit-out?

Where it is in scope, yes. We procure, consolidate, deliver and install furniture against the same programme as the construction works, which removes the gap between practical completion and a usable office.

Do you have a permanent office in every market you work in?

We do not claim a permanent presence in every market. We mobilise a project team for the location, work with locally licensed partners where the jurisdiction requires it, and state the structure clearly before appointment.

CAT A fit-out

CAT A is a letting product. It has to present well on a viewing, satisfy the building's services strategy and give an incoming tenant a clean, documented base to design against.

CAT B fit-out

CAT B is where an occupier's operational requirements meet a building that was designed before anyone knew who would occupy it. Almost every difficulty in a CAT B programme comes from that gap.

Turnkey office fit-out

Turnkey is the right structure when the occupier does not want to manage the joins between designer, contractor, services engineer and furniture supplier, and when the move date matters more than the procurement route.

Office refurbishment

A refurbishment is rarely a construction problem first. It is a sequencing problem: which teams move where, what has to keep running, and what can only be touched at night or over a weekend.

Headquarters fit-out

A headquarters carries a reputational load that an ordinary floor does not. The reception, the client suite and the boardroom are seen by people who are deciding something about the organisation.

Executive offices

Executive areas are small in area and large in scrutiny. The joinery, the acoustic privacy, the way the technology disappears and the quality of the reception all get noticed.

Office MEP

Most office layouts are approved before anyone checks whether the building can cool, ventilate and power them at the proposed density. The correction arrives later, as a change to the design or a change to the date.

Office furniture

Furniture is where a good fit-out programme is most often lost. Lead times run in months, approvals take weeks, and the move date does not move.

Bespoke office joinery

The joinery is what an office is judged on: the reception desk, the boardroom table, the tea point and the storage wall that has to look considered while hiding a great deal.

Occupied office refurbishment

Working in an occupied office is a logistics discipline. The construction is ordinary; the planning around it is not.

Multi-location roll-outs

A roll-out is a control problem. The first office is a project; every office after it is a test of whether the standard survived contact with a different building, a different authority and a different local supply chain.
