Do you tender against a main contractor's subcontract terms?

Yes. We are regularly appointed as a specialist subcontractor and price against the issued package, the programme and the interfaces defined in the tender documents.

Can you take a package that is not yet buildable as drawn?

Yes, and it is the most common reason we are approached. We carry out a constructability review, set out what has to change, and develop the element to a buildable state before production begins.

Do you install, or do you only manufacture?

Both are available. We can hold design, manufacture and installation together, or manufacture for installation by others. What we do not do is split responsibility in a way that leaves the interface unowned.

How do you handle performance requirements?

Performance comes from the specified, tested system. We state what the tested system provides and what evidence supports it, and we will not claim a fire, acoustic or structural performance the system has not been tested to deliver.

GRG

GRG is an internal material. It gives a plaster surface with the geometry and repeatability of a moulded product, which is why it is used for domes, coffered ceilings, cornices, columns and decorative interior elements that could not be formed in situ.

GRP

GRP is used where a form has to be lightweight, dimensionally stable and repeatable, and where the fixing back to structure matters as much as the shape itself. It carries external exposure that gypsum cannot, and it can be moulded into geometry that would be uneconomic in stone or metal.

GRC

GRC is a cementitious material used externally where an element needs the appearance and durability of cast stone without the weight of solid concrete. It suits façade panels, screens, mashrabiya, copings, surrounds and repeated external detail.

Acoustic interiors

An acoustic interior only performs as the tested system performs. Our role is to build the specified system exactly, in a way that survives the interfaces: penetrations, junctions, service routes and the finish the architect wants over the top of it.

Façades

Façade elements fail at their fixings, their joints and their drainage long before they fail as objects. We engineer the element and the way it meets the building at the same time.

Architectural metalwork

Architectural metalwork is unforgiving. The finish shows every weld, the tolerance shows every fixing, and the interface with stone, glass and joinery is where the detail is usually lost.

Stone and surfaces

Stone is decided long before it reaches site: at block or slab selection, at the dry-lay, and at the setting-out that decides where the veining runs and where the joints land.

Bespoke joinery

Joinery is where a design either holds together or drifts. Panel modules, veneer sequencing, shadow gaps and tolerance decisions all happen in the workshop, weeks before anyone sees them on site.

Doorsets and glazing

Doorsets and internal glazing are where a project's compliance paperwork usually falls apart: the wrong leaf in the wrong opening, ironmongery that was never part of the tested assembly, or a glazed screen fixed into a wall it was never tested against.

Decorative ceilings

A decorative ceiling is the most crowded plane in any building. Structure, ductwork, sprinklers, detection, lighting, speakers and access all have to pass through a surface whose whole purpose is to look uninterrupted.

Themed environments

A themed environment is a technical building dressed as something else. Behind the surface there is structure, drainage, lighting, ventilation, access and a maintenance regime that has to work every day the attraction is open.

Mock-ups and prototypes

A mock-up is the cheapest argument a project will ever have. It moves the discussion about tolerance, junction, finish and access out of an email chain and into something everyone can stand in front of.

Design, manufacture and install

We take the package from design intent through shop drawings, engineering, samples, production, delivery and installation, and hand it over with the record information.

Suits packages where the interface risk and the making risk should sit with one party.

Engineer and supply

We develop the shop drawings, produce the samples and manufacture the package for installation by the main contractor's own team, with our supervision where useful.

Suits contractors with installation resource already mobilised on site.

Design development only

We work with the design team to bring the element to a buildable state: constructability review, engineering, materials, jointing, fixings and a production route.

Suits early-stage packages that must be priced accurately before tender.
