Measure the cycle before you commit
The first floor is the calibration. Measure how long each stage of the room takes with a trained crew, then plan the remaining floors from that measurement.
Deliver in kits, marked by room
Material delivered by room number rather than by trade removes searching, damage and double handling, which is where site labour is usually lost.
Balance the crews to the slowest stage
A rollout moves at the pace of its slowest activity. Crew sizes should be set against that stage rather than distributed evenly.
Inspect at completion, not at handover
Each room should be inspected against the benchmark as it completes. Collecting defects until the end converts small corrections into a snagging programme.
