How to consolidate FF&E from multiple manufacturers

Buying from six factories means managing six programmes unless the goods are consolidated into one plan before they travel.

One schedule, one packing logic

Consolidation only works when the packing list is tied to the buying schedule. Reconciling what arrived against what was bought should be a document exercise, not a warehouse hunt.

Inspect at consolidation

The consolidation point is the last place goods from different factories can be checked together, and the last place a shortfall can be corrected before it becomes a site problem.

Load in installation order

Containers should be loaded by floor or zone so the site unloads in the order it installs. This one decision removes more site congestion than any other logistics choice.

Plan for the site not being ready

Handover dates move. Agreeing storage and phased release at award is far cheaper than arranging it in a panic when a floor is not finished.
