Why UK retailers appoint us

A store is a trading date, not a drawing set.

Repeatable store quality

A prototype is approved as the benchmark, then batch manufactured. The last store in the programme is built to the same standard as the first.

Trading-hours discipline

Overnight installs, protected public routes, landlord permits and clean handback every morning — the shop floor is never the site.

One team through handover

Shopfront, fixtures, finishes, M&E and commissioning sit inside one contract, so there is no gap between the visible store and the services behind it.

What we fit out in a UK store

Every visible moment, and everything behind it.

Shopfronts & fascias

Glazed shopfronts, framed entrances, illuminated fascias and signage delivered to landlord and high-street planning standards, including listed and conservation frontages.

Department store concessions

Beauty counters, lifestyle concessions and pop-ups inside John Lewis, Selfridges and Boots — installed overnight, sequenced around host store trading and safety rules.

Store fixtures & joinery

Display walls, gondolas, cash desks, fitting rooms and stockroom joinery manufactured centrally to one control sample, then installed store by store.

Floors, ceilings & lighting

Hard floors, acoustic and feature ceilings, track and accent lighting, plus the small-power and data routes that keep tills, security and AV working from day one.

Rollout programme management

One approved prototype, batch manufacture, phased installation across UK regions and into Europe and the Middle East — same standard in every town centre and mall.

M&E behind the display

Power, data, lighting control, HVAC interfaces, fire detection and landlord connections coordinated with fixtures so the store passes inspection and opens on time.

Rollout programmes

One prototype. One standard. Many stores.

From a single London flagship to a programme spanning the UK, Europe and the Middle East, we build the control sample, freeze the specification, then manufacture and install repeatedly without losing the brand feel.

UK retail FAQ

Questions UK retailers ask first.

Do you work as a retail fit-out main contractor in the UK?
Yes. Método acts as a specialist main contractor for UK retail interiors, holding design coordination, shopfront, joinery, fixtures, M&E, finishes and handover under one contract. We also take specialist or integrated packages within a wider team.
Can you deliver a national store rollout?
Rollouts are our core retail work. A prototype store is built and signed off as the benchmark, then fixtures and finishes are manufactured in batches and installed on a phased programme across the UK, with a single point of responsibility for every store.
Do you fit out department store concessions?
Yes. We have delivered beauty counters and concessions in John Lewis, Selfridges and Boots. Work is planned around host store trading, overnight access windows, protected routes and clean handback each morning.
Can you work out of hours in shopping centres and on the high street?
Yes. Night and early-morning works, noise and dust control, protected public routes, RAMS and landlord permits are planned before we mobilise, so trading is never interrupted by our programme.
Do you handle listed buildings and planning-sensitive frontages?
Shopfront consent, conservation constraints, fire strategy and Building Regulations are treated as design inputs before the design is frozen, so approvals do not become a late programme risk.
Can you supply stores in the UK and Europe from one programme?
Yes. Fixtures are manufactured centrally and shipped to a single logistics plan, so a UK rollout can extend to Ireland, mainland Europe and the Middle East without re-tendering or losing the brand standard.
How do you protect a fixed store opening date?
The specification is frozen before manufacture and long-lead items go into production while landlord approvals complete. Because manufacture, M&E and installation sit in one programme, any change is re-sequenced immediately rather than discovered on site.
