Why occupiers appoint us

A workplace is judged after move-in, not at handover.

Hospitality-grade finish

We build client floors the way we build hotels — veneer, stone, plaster and lighting detailed and made in our own workshops, not bought in as a commodity.

Services under the same contract

M&E, AV and controls are coordinated with the ceiling and partition zones from the start, then commissioned by the same team that built the space.

Programme certainty

Design frozen, long-leads released early, installation sequenced against a live programme — so the move-in date holds when something changes.

Commercial work

Headquarters, client floors and workplace refurbishment.

From single-floor CAT B to a full headquarters programme, the same control applies: one specification, one manufacturing standard, one team accountable through commissioning and handover.

What we deliver on a London floor

Everything from shell to commissioning.

CAT A & CAT B fit-out

Landlord shell upgrades and full occupier fit-out — raised floors, ceilings, partitions, lighting, finishes and workplace joinery delivered as one continuous package.

Headquarters & client floors

Reception, boardrooms, client suites and executive floors built to a hospitality standard of finish, with veneer joinery, stone, feature lighting and acoustic control.

Workplace & collaboration space

Open floors, focus rooms, tea points, town-hall stairs and breakout areas designed for acoustics, servicing and daily wear rather than a launch photograph.

M&E and smart building integration

HVAC, power, data, lighting control, AV and access control coordinated with the ceiling and partition zones, then commissioned and witnessed before handover.

Occupied and phased refurbishment

Floor-by-floor works in occupied buildings, out-of-hours access, temporary protection and clean handback so the business keeps trading through the programme.

Compliance & building standards

Fire strategy, Building Regulations, landlord licence to alter, dilapidations and sustainability targets treated as design inputs before the design is frozen.

London office fit-out FAQ

Questions occupiers and agents ask first.

Do you deliver office fit-out in London as a main contractor?
Yes. Método acts as a specialist main contractor for commercial interiors in London and across the UK, holding design coordination, construction, joinery, M&E, finishes, commissioning and handover under one contract. We also take specialist or integrated packages inside a wider project team.
What is the difference between CAT A and CAT B?
CAT A is the landlord's base finish — floors, ceilings, base M&E and lighting to a lettable standard. CAT B is the occupier fit-out that makes the space usable: layouts, partitions, joinery, meeting rooms, branding, AV and workplace services. We deliver either, or both as a single CAT A+B package.
Can you work in an occupied building?
Yes. Phased and floor-by-floor programmes, out-of-hours works, protected access routes, noise and dust control, and daily clean handback are planned before mobilisation so staff and tenants keep working.
Do you handle M&E and commissioning?
Yes. HVAC, power, data, lighting control, AV, fire and access control are coordinated with the architectural build and commissioned as part of our contract, with witnessed testing and full O&M documentation at handover.
How do you control cost and programme on a workplace project?
The design is frozen before manufacture and long-lead items go into production early. Because design, manufacture, M&E and installation sit in one programme, a change in one area is re-sequenced and priced immediately rather than found late on site.
Can you deliver offices outside London?
Yes. We deliver across the UK and internationally — the same team, the same specification control and the same handover standard whether the floor is in the City, in a regional hub or overseas.
Do you manufacture the joinery yourselves?
Yes. Reception desks, wall panelling, tea points and bespoke furniture are made in our own workshops to an approved control sample, which is how quality stays consistent across multiple floors and buildings.
